Job DescriptionJob Description

Skullcandy is seeking a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Brand team, Retail Product Marketing, Copywriters, the Creative Director, and fellow Designers to drive design projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of how to translate briefs into compelling visual stories.

Primary Functional Responsibilities

  • Create visual assets for Skullcandy brand across multiple channels of communications.
  • Assist in the development of campaigns all the way to production of assets.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and communicate conceptual ideas and design/photography rationale, both verbally and visually.
  • Design, mock-up and export web pages and various digital assets
  • Take projects from concept through production for multiple channels including but not limited to retail fixtures, out-of-home, digital platforms, web and print media.
  • Create various designs following a strict style guide.
  • Constantly evaluate effectiveness of overall processes and partnerships and consistently drive implementation of changes and solutions.
  • Multi-task and produce exceptional work under tight deadlines.
  • Maintain updated project schedule; track and manage projects under review.
  • Take initiative and give 110%.


Required Experience & Skills


  • BA or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree required in graphics related field
  • 6+ years of experience. While we appreciate candidates with more experience and what they bring to the table, the candidate must be willing and able to learn the company's methods and processes first then applying their additional experience appropriately.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Cloud applications.
  • Must have expertise in web design
  • Must have a solid understanding of photography and photo-retouching.
  • Passion for functional typography practices
  • Knows how to listen, take great notes, and stay organized.
  • Positive attitude and takes criticism well.
  • Self-motivated and independent thinker with strong communication skills.
  • Organized and able to follow up on long- and short-term projects.
  • Dedicated and hardworking.
  • Need to be an expert in Visual communication.
  • Must understand importance of brand visual consistency across multiple channels of communication.
  • Demonstrate your creative versatility- showing a wide range of skills in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Have great examples of packaging, layouts and typography for sales material.
  • Demonstrate incredible attention to detail, accuracy and follow up skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to stick to a style guide and design within a single visual style.
  • Demonstrate ability to create a visual style guide
