Job Title: Data Analyst

Reports To: Director of IT

Job Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting multiple forms of data and presenting collected data in useful and visual formats. The Data Analyst will use various analytics strategies, data visualization tools, and reports to turn collected data into meaningful information Volm Companies will use to meet its organizational objectives.

Essential Duties

  • Provide quality assurance of existing and new data, working in conjunction with Data Scientist and functional staff as necessary.
  • Commission and decommission data sets.
  • Develop reports and analytics.
  • Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Generate reports from single or multiple datasets.
  • Troubleshoot reporting database environment and report.
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards
  • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

  • Ability to analyze user requirements and apply solutions according to specifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines to ensure all customer communications and commitments are followed-up on
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to effectively work with material and resource planning systems, spreadsheets, word processing documents, and other applicable computer systems and software.
  • Capacity to think critically, calculate, analyze, and track details/figures/data and make competent decisions based on those details/figures/data.
  • Communication, teamwork, and customer service skills are critical as employees are expected to work directly and indirectly with all levels of employees, customers, and outside vendors.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge of information technology, computer science, normally acquired by the completion of a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, statistics, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of PowerBI preferred.
  • Developed knowledge of PowerAutomate, Cyber Query, SQL queries preferred.

  • Capability to lift and carry objects of various weights.
  • Proficiency in using hands, fingers, and arms for tasks such as typing and writing.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read documents and recognize details at close and distant ranges.

  • Ability to perform tasks, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects.

  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear, including helmets, goggles, gloves, and safety shoes, as required by the job.

Travel Requirements

This position requires occasional overnight travel and occasional travel within the workday.

Driver Qualification

The ability to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle on behalf of the company may be required. Inclusion in the company’s driver qualification program is required to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle.

Becoming a qualified driver includes:

  • Agree to the company driving policies that apply to company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle as applicable.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license and be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record, as evidenced by completion of a baseline motor vehicle record check and ongoing monitoring.
  • When driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company, must provide a copy of the declaration page from personal auto insurance that shows the policy dates and minimum coverage amounts ($300,000 bodily injury per accident/$100,000 property damage per accident or if driving less than 5 hours/200 miles a year $50,000 bodily injury per accident/$10,000 property damage per accident or the state minimum, whichever is more). This requirement is initially and then annually thereafter.
