Summary

Laundry Attendants are responsible for the successful operation of machines in the Laundry Room, and completion of all laundry functions in the Hotel, ensuring maximum productivity and superior guest service and satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Skillfully use laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner and thoroughly clean press linen, while keeping the work area clean and safe.
  • Help ensure laundry operations run smoothly by alerting the supervisor when equipment stops working properly, if supplies are needed and when linen is damaged.
  • Folds clean linens, towels and sheets and stores in appropriate areas.
  • To check laundry chemicals daily and notify supervisor when level is one inch above the base.
  • To clean lint traps in dryers at least every two hours, or after drying new towels process.
  • To follow all specified procedures of laundry handling tasks as directed, including sorting and folding linens; loading, unloading and processing linen and operating washer and dryers.
  • To clean drain grates by-weekly or as needed.
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences or hazardous conditions.
  • Maintaining and providing the example of a high standard of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Ensure that all areas in laundry are properly cleaned and safe.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

  • Participate in open communication and provide feedback to management regarding operations, staffing, personal development, and operational productivity.
  • Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.

Education / Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience working with cleaning supplies.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
