POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial/Industrial Service Plumber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment within commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a dedication to delivering top-notch service to our clients. As a key member of our Service team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of various mechanical systems.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mechanical Equipment Service: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment including but not limited to boilers, chiller piping, pumps, Cooling towers, HVAC systems, Heat Exchangers and other misc. equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and diagnostic techniques. Identify root causes of problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Repairs and Replacements: Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Install new parts, components, or systems as required.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency service calls, providing quick and effective solutions to minimize downtime and potential damage. Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and service activities. Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation for client records and internal reporting.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites. Prioritize safety for yourself, team members, and clients at all times.
  • Client Communication: Interact professionally with clients, providing clear explanations of work performed, recommended actions, and maintenance tips. Foster positive relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, project managers, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution and deliver exceptional service.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in plumbing and mechanical systems. Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to provide innovative solutions to clients.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to relevant codes and regulations. Strive for excellence in craftsmanship and service delivery.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial plumber, with a strong focus on servicing mechanical equipment.
  • Valid plumbing license and certifications as required by state and local regulations. Gas Fitters is a plus
  • Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated heights.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Availability and flexible work hours as needed for emergency situations. Rare instances.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
