WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?

This position typically works Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

As an Automotive Service Writer, you are a bridge between our customers and our auto repair team. With great customer service skills, you answer phone calls from customers, respond to emails, and schedule appointments for repair and maintenance services. Being proactive, you ask clients about their car issues and then use this information to generate estimates for the work. You also use your excellent sales skills to encourage hesitant clients to make necessary service appointments.

When booking services, you communicate with our mechanics to make sure they have the time and parts needed to get the job done. As our technicians work, you keep our customers updated on their car's progress and let them know when their vehicle is ready to pick up. You take pride in playing this essential customer service and sales role that helps bring in more business to our shop


DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME OUR AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITER?

  • Automotive knowledge and ability to explain diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to customers
  • Working knowledge of computers and ability to learn automotive software such as ALLDATA or Identifix
  • Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record
