CNA Trainee:

Paid training classes available to start October 2024.

• Classes will be held on site at Teresian House Nursing Home.
• Course consists of 6 weeks of training before the certification test

Trainee Responsibilities:

• Attend and complete the Certified Nurse Aide Training course, which addresses all areas of care rendered to a given population (i.e. geriatric) within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide. This will encompass biological, psychological and social elements at the beginning level in a health care setting where aides are employed
• Complete work assignments, be prompt & prepared for class, and maintain excellent attendance.
• Learn the skills and competencies required for a C.N.A. in both a clinical and classroom setting.
• Adhere to all facilities rules. Violators may be removed from the class at the discretion of the facility.
• Do your best with our preparation assistance to pass the examination upon completion of the training.

What you will need:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.; high school diploma, GED, or equivalent life experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to help the elderly.
• Compassionate.
