As part of a talented team of individuals, the Program Manager’s primary role is to ensure the new core customer onboarding projects are completed effective, efficiently, and in line with the five pillars of service delivery excellence (on time, on budget, in scope, high customer satisfaction, and high quality).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide program leadership for multiple concurrent projects and project teams
  • Provided stewardship and guidance as UFS migrates towards building dedicated conversion teams
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide leadership to Project Managers and team members by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Provide oversight and guidance for workload planning and effective resource utilization while managing the conversion schedule
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise during projects
  • Monitor active projects and provide leadership for early course correction, when necessary
  • Refine standardized project success criteria and measure results to expectations for every completed project
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, lessons learned, and improvement plans
  • Leveraging project success criteria and workload assessments, ensure maximized team utilization towards effective customer project assignments and workload management
  • Harness project-related artifacts, data and feedback mechanisms to establish success measurement, and to seek data-driven patterns to drive project standardization and efficiency gains
  • Host project center-of-excellence sessions on a routine basis to listen, surface, and capitalize on project optimization ideas and concepts
  • Ensure a uniform experience for customers and employees across multiple project teams
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Serve as the final escalation point for customer conversion status and results, for customers, employees, managers and executives
  • Ensure proper scope change control, management, and communication standards across the conversion teams
  • Champion of people and successful projects – recognition and celebration
  • Serve as a strong liaison to the business development leaders and customer support/management leaders to ensure effective transition for new customers
  • Stewards the creation of Professional Services Statement of Work (SOW) when requested
  • Provide sales support representing UFS and the onboarding program, when requested
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Actively participate in special projects and strategic initiatives based on our priorities for the year

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer, finance or business-related discipline required
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management or program management for customer projects
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to steward multiple concurrent projects on time and within the stated budget
  • Experience in the financial industry or a technology-focused environment required
  • Experience with financial services conversion project management is preferred
  • Experience in customer support
