We are looking for a PACU RN who is available to work Thursdays from approximately 0900 until close.


Job Description:

Lehi Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a PRN PACU Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and smooth transition from the operating room to recovery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients closely for post-operative complications and intervene promptly as needed.
  • Assess patient conditions, manage pain, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care and adherence to post-operative care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and discharge instructions.
  • Adhere to established protocols, standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in PACU nursing.


Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Utah.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a PACU or critical care setting.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in both a hospital and an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting.
  • Certification in Post-Anesthesia Care Nursing (CPAN) or related specialty.
