GDL Salt Operator

• Observe safety rules and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
• Complete responsibility for the packaging, warehousing, and shipping of product.
• Unloading and storage of raw materials.
• Accurate completion of shipping documents.
• Assist other operators with plant tasks as needed.
• Expected to fully communicate between shifts and other Company personnel.
• Monitor and maintain all equipment and controls, requesting maintenance assistance as needed.
• Keep all work areas neat and orderly.
• Keep proper inventory of finished product and packaging supplies on hand.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Training:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and instructions
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and effective oral and written skills.
• Valid state issued driver’s license
• 3 – 5 years prior employment in a high volume manufacturing environment
• Must have good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to push, pull and/or lift 50 pounds repetitively, climb ladders and work on platforms
• Fork lift experience preferred.

Education (minimum requirements/equivalent):

• High School Diploma or GED
