Primary Position Objectives
Works under direction, tending a variety of machines
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Description of Duties
Tends machines
- Working to quality specifications may inspect parts off machinery to insure parts are running to quality standards
- Responsible for stopping the machine when parts do not meet requirements.
- Use and understand principles of quality control responsibilities.
- Alert to deviation changes-may be required to use Q.C. tools.
- Maintains production records and quality records.
- May be required to set-up gauges.
- Performs basic machine maintenance functions

Tasks based on
Department
- Operate Heat Set Equipment, Laser Engraver, Dot Matrix Engraver, Laser Welder, Press, Assembly Equipment, Riveters, Fixtures, Gages, etc. as assigned.
Lean Initiatives
- Observes Company processes and makes recommendations for improvement
- Participates in Lean Projects
Other
- May be required to perform/oversee packing duties. This includes receiving packing instructions to customer specifications, insuring correct packing materials are being used and cartons are properly labeled.
- Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School graduate or demonstration of equivalent skills.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to understand written instructions
Physical Requirements
- Visual Sharpness (corrected) to operate machines (including visual inspection procedures).
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work. Substantial movements (motions) of the arms, wrists, hand and /or fingers.
- Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from position-to-position.
