Position Purpose & Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION: Pool Technician will be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to customers. The Pool Technician is responsible to conduct cleaning duties in the assigned Place of Work, and provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service to our customers.


Essential Functions


  • Uses excellent customer service skills establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, guests, visitors, and members.
  • Ensure that all required safety equipment (Shepard's Crook, life ring, etc.) is present at all bodies of water.
  • Provide assistance to local health department inspectors.
  • Maintains pool equipment.
  • Maintains pool equipment rooms.
  • Monitors and maintains pool filtration systems.
  • Performs pool and hot tub maintenance duties, including backwash, handling and installation of chemicals, cleaning, etc.
  • Vacuum, clean strainer baskets, and keep pool deck free of debris and pool maintenance equipment.
  • Monitors pool water chemistry through testing of water samples.
  • Adjusts chemistry as needed to maintain standards.
  • Handles chemicals such as chlorine, soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, and muriatic acid.
  • Completes daily records of chemical levels as prescribed by local health department requirements.

Position Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) - Required; Some college preferred.
    • Certified Pool Operator Certificate - Required.
    • Working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Strong customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must
