The SEH Environmental Team of scientists and engineers restores balance to our world through their work to protect our land, air and water resources. The type of work you do may be in the field of air quality, environmental assessments, remediation, compliance, planning and permitting. The work of the team varies from transforming polluted land parcels into community assets, restoring damaged waterways, reimagining solid waste management strategies or assisting our clients through complex regulatory compliance and permitting processes. This Opportunity:

What you will be doing:

  • Support members of our Engineering Teams as we assist businesses with environmental stewardship
  • Help prepare environmental compliance documents such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Control and Countermeasure Plans to protect our waterways.
  • Develop permit application for impacts to Waters of the United States
  • Experience with speaking at public meetings and public hearings.
  • Develop environmental assessments for NEPA compliance.
  • Adept at interpreting state and federal regulations and determining permit needs for a diversity of projects across the United States.
  • Capable of identifying creative approaches to achieve regulatory compliance by identifying alternate construction means and methods or alternative emission control technologies
  • Visit manufacturing and industrial facilities to observe process operations
  • Help formulate solutions to our client’s environmental issues
  • Communicating on a consistent basis with the team and collaborating
  • Experienced with managing budgets, handling clients, directing staff and preparing cost estimates.
  • Being dedicated to working hard and achieving excellence in a team environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environment Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field
  • Previous environmental science experience
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, site visits, etc.
  • Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience within the field
  • Previous experience with industrial development project, including environmental regulations, permitting, monitoring, and construction processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
