Job Title: NOC Mission Coordinator

Reports to: Lori Milner, Senior Program Manager, National Operations Center

SUMMARY

The NOC Mission Coordinator provides direct mission support in the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) National Operations Center (NOC) and assists the Director of Operations and other operations directorate personnel in managing critical programs. Coordinates on a national level the use of Civil Air Patrol (CAP) assets in support of DoD, federal, state, local and other volunteer agencies. Assists in providing CAP mission support in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Manages and reconciles mission funding to include reimbursements to members, determining eligibility for reimbursement. Assists with the training mission approval process. Reviews requests for training, validates mission requirements, provides Headquarters CAP approval, tracks assets used to support training and subsequent reimbursement requests. Approves/disapproves non-routine requests for reimbursement like members having to remain overnight or purchasing supplies to support missions requiring additional coordination with the NOC for approval. Correlates data from various sources and interprets information from multiple databases to enhance mission prosecution. Assists in managing operations support programs and budgets. Serves as an after-hours duty officer.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
  • Excellent PC skills in MS Office Suite to include Excel is required.
  • Must be able to work with individuals/units in the field with little or no supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Associated degree desired.
  • Must have prior accounting experience, preferably using an electronic accounting system like Navision.
  • Must possess or be able to possess a Secret security clearance.
