Your Role

As a Painter Helper, you play a crucial role in preparing and applying paint to our luxury coaches. Your attention to detail and dedication to quality ensure that every vehicle has a flawless finish, contributing to the overall aesthetic and value of our fleet. In an environment that values precision and professionalism, you will assist in the painting process, ensuring our coaches meet Encore’s high standards. This position challenges you to leverage your skills in surface preparation, painting, and equipment maintenance to uphold our legacy of excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Sand, clean, and repair defects to prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring a smooth base for paint application.
  • Masking: Apply masking to areas not being painted to ensure clean lines and protect surfaces from paint overspray.
  • Paint Mixing: Mix and prepare paints and coatings according to specific instructions to achieve the desired color and consistency.
  • Painting: Use spray guns to apply primer and finish coats to vehicles, ensuring even coverage and a high-quality finish.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting equipment and the work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace, preventing contamination and equipment malfunctions.
  • Body Repair: Complete body repair tasks as needed to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish, addressing any imperfections before painting.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English with strong reading comprehension skills.
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience in automotive or industrial painting.
  • Familiarity with spray guns and other painting equipment.
  • Knowledge of different types of paints and coatings.
