The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to cultivate a community where all people are respectfully supported and empowered to embrace opportunities for learning, growth and economic security.

CAP is seeking a UPK Teacher for their Early Childhood Program. The UPK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class. Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school.

Must possess a NYS Teaching Certificate for the early childhood grades (Birth-2, Nursery, K-6 or for students with disabilities valid for service in the early childhood grades); or a bachelor's degree in early childhood, or a related field, along with a written plan to obtain certification within 5 years.

This is a full-time, 11-month position and is scheduled 37.5 hrs/wk, 45 wks/yr. The pay rate is $26.21/hr. (Masters w/ certification); $20.02/hr (Bachelors w/ certification); $19.34/hr (Masters w/ no certification but will obtain certification within 5 years).
