How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:


Join the dynamic MMSI team as a Diesel Mechanic responsible for performing maintenance and repair for the Southeast Region Port Operations for the Navy. This position is located at our Regional Boat Maintenance Center in Woodbine, GA. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:



You must have commercial driving experience and be familiar with area nuances, such as back roads and traffic patterns. Knowledge and experience with the Federal and State Department of Transportation rules and regulations is mandatory. Additionally, the perspective candidate will be responsible for administration of MMSI’s Fleet Management Program. A clean background check/driving record and commercial driver’s license is expected and will be verified prior to employment. Drivers will generally work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., but occasional extended hours and weekend hours may be necessary to meet the needs of our customer. Although this is primarily a Commercial Driving position, the perspective candidate will also be expected to work along side other trades while not engaged in driving. This is an excellent opportunity to learn additional skills outside of traditional over the road positions.

Minimum of one year driving experience within 100-mile radius of Kingsland GA.

Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience.

Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical.

Work exceptionally well independently.

Open and transparent communication.

Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps.

Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.

Participation in a Random Drug Screening Program.

Administration of MMSI Fleet Readiness Program.

Effective use of a computer and experience with MS Word and Excel.
