As a Laundry Person, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of residents' clothing and linens. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our residents have access to fresh and well-maintained textiles, contributing to their comfort and well-being.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:


Laundry Operation:


Collect soiled linens, clothing, and other textiles from designated areas within the CCRC.

Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures and guidelines.

Operate laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines, efficiently and safely.

Quality Control:


Inspect clean laundry for stains, tears, or other issues, and make necessary repairs or replacements.

Ensure that laundry meets quality standards, including proper folding, sorting, and storage.

Inventory Management:


Keep an accurate inventory of linens and clothing to ensure an adequate supply.

Reorder or request replacement linens and textiles as needed.

Equipment Maintenance:


Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment to ensure its proper functioning.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Laundry Supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:


Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and adherence to infection control protocols.

Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.

Dispose of waste and contaminated materials in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications:


High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is a plus.

Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning products.

Attention to detail and the ability to identify and address issues with laundry items.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions:


This position may require standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.

Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
