Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the indoor and outdoor pools and spa in meeting the required standards in service, staffing, equipment, programming, and cleanliness.*
  2. Oversee the hiring, training and supervision of Lifeguards.*
  3. Ensure the operating budget is maintained, without compromising safety.*
  4. Create a friendly, positive, customer service environment though employee training and oversight.*
  5. Conduct training sessions with lifeguards to ensure the pool is safely maintained.*
  6. Create new programs and activities that help to achieve yearly financial goals and create excitement for the members.*
  7. Communicate chemical and mechanical operational problems with Pool Operations Manager when appropriate.*
  8. Work with Pool Operations Manager to provide for the maintenance and chemical operations of the pool area when needed.*
  9. Ensure overall cleanliness of the pool areas.*
  10. Manage revenue programs including swim lessons and pool programs.*
  11. Design and coordinate of the scheduling of quality swim lessons for children and adults.*
  12. Supervise and coordinate social and holiday pool parties.*
  13. Meet weekly with Fitness Director to discuss club, pool, and social events.*
  14. Schedule meetings with staff to inform them on club operations, systems, etc.*
  15. Oversee lifeguards and ensure they are fulfilling their duties.*
  16. Be responsible for other duties that arise in the pool area.*
  17. Assist when needed as a Lifeguard.*
  18. Assist with swim team meets as needed.*
  19. Performs other related duties as assigned.*

Requirements:

Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Possess current Lifeguard certification
  • Possess current CPO
