Summary of Position


The 340B Coordinator will assist the Quality Improvement Manager in the planning and implementation of a systemic program for clinical quality and outcomes improvement at CRCHC pertaining to the 340B Program. The position serves as primary administrative and reporting support to the 340B Program and evaluation of processes for all 340B requirements. This position exists to support compliance with internal QI initiatives and external regulatory requirements. In addition, the 340B Coordinator will be responsible for assisting senior Leadership with all aspects of the 340B Program at CRCHC to include but not limited to: Program development, 340B audits, and reporting.

 

Minimum Qualifications


Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions in the English language.  Communicate effectively. Interact in a respectful and professional manner with internal and external customers.  Ability to gather and synthesize information.  Able to travel to other CRCHC sites and local contract pharmacies. 

·        Required Experience: 1-2 years in the healthcare field.

·        Additional skills required: Proficient in Microsoft Office products.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

  • Additional skills preferred: Familiarity with 340B Programs. Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices, billing & systems and knowledge of 340B program regulatory and compliance requirements. Solid understanding of financial concepts, auditing standards, techniques and procedures.

Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Business/Healthcare Administration/Pharmacy preferred. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) OR Medication Aide/Medication Tech Certification preferred. Work experience within a related field can be evaluated in lieu of formal education and/or certification.

Certification(s)/Licensure:

Complete Apexus 340B University within 6 months of hire. Complete Apexus 340B ACE within 12 months of hire.

Key Responsibilities

 

1.      Daily management of 340B Claims across all TPAs

2.      Daily management of 340B Referrals claims across all TPAs

3.      Daily response to any Pharmacy requests or other communications from outside the organization concerning the 340B Program.

4.      Monthly submission of 340B Program Dashboard and End of Month Report

5.      Monthly submission of 340B Program Audits for all TPAs

6.      Assist in leading the organization’s 340B Program by working with the QI Manager in monitoring, measuring, analyzing, improving and/or controlling program goals, objectives and/or services.

7.      Assist the QI Manager in the development and evaluation and management of the 340B Program.

8.      Assist and provide guidance to staff with 340B projects.

9.      Foster and facilitate vendor relationships to include local pharmacy and TPA relationships.

10.   Provides education to vendors, pharmacies, patients, and staff pertaining to the CRCHC 340B Program.

11.   Provides support to CRCHC Truecare Pharmacy, to include weekly meetings with Pharmacy management and support of all related projects.

12.   Provides support to Operations and Marketing departments with regards to 340B program announcements, advertisements, etc.

13.   Generate periodic reports from EHR to support 340B Program including but not limited to Prescription Reports, Productivity Reports, Prescribing Patterns, etc. to support program operations and goals.

14.   Generates targeted reports from EHR with regards to specific brand name drugs, manufacturers, etc. to identify opportunity areas for 340B Program.

15.   Analyze, synthesize, and share the results of reports with impacted staff while providing guidance for continual 340B program development.

16.   Utilizes Caremessage and Athena Communicator to communicate 340B related advertisements, targeted campaigns, etc. to patients.

17.   Provide support as needed during implementation of clinical and operational projects related to quality improvement.

18.   Provides additional administrative support to all Quality Improvement Department projects and initiatives.

19.   Performs other duties as assigned.
