Inventory Clerk
Job Type: Full-time
Purpose: The Inventory Clerk ensures that all CMC locations have adequate supplies, services,
and equipment for efficient operation while eliminating waste and maximizing cost efficiency.
This position reports directly to Procurement leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Assist in monitoring clinical supply inventory at all sites
● Maintain orderly inventory rooms, closets, and supply areas
● Reconcile deliveries with orders
● Process returns in a timely and efficient manner
● Assist in the start-up of new clinics
● Rotate stock routinely to ensure FIFO concept is applied
● Use software to monitor demand and document inventory
● Place assigned orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
● Inspect the levels of clinical and business supplies to identify overages/shortages
● Ensure appropriate office supply levels at all sites
● Report to supervision as needed regarding stock levels, issues, etc.
● Visit sites routinely to deliver supplies, rotate supplies, and otherwise maintain and
organize inventory
● Complete special projects as assigned by supervision
● Assist in fixed asset inventories as required
● Assist leadership with any additional tasks requested
● Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts

Skills and Qualifications:
Required
● Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
● Ability to understand and function within inventory software
● Organizational and planning skills
● Functional with spreadsheet software (Google Sheets preferred)
● Familiarity with internet ordering processes; ability to function in an online environment
● Physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs., and to manage light warehouse-type
equipment (dollies, hand trucks, etc.)
● Physical ability to safely stand, bend, and reach
● Personal daily transportation, valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to
drive between various locations
● High personal accountability and autonomous self-monitoring, including responsible time
management
Work Environment:
● Cahaba Medical Care is a nicotine-fee organization. Smoking and use of electronic
