The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing customer order processing. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the optimization of direct import containers and utilization of transportation efficiencies. The position will liaise with suppliers and distributors ensuring customer satisfaction The Logistics Specialist will support the Director of Logistics with the various operational projects & initiatives on a continuous basis.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate Direct Import shipments from Spain to ensure prompt and cost effective movement of wine
  • customer service to all suppliers, clients, and sales with updates on order status
  • collect and organize all needed documents for effective and compliant export, import, and customs clearing
  • and organize with couriers, cargo agencies, freight forwarders
  • & analyze operational or management reports and data for trending and optimization
  • monitor and process incoming purchase orders
  • distributors as well as generates invoices daily
  • reporting for DAP/CFR/DDP shipments to all relevant distributors & sales team
  • of all inbounds into domestic warehouse
  • the Director with system automation initiatives
  • Filing of monthly NYS Alcohol Beverage Taxes
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly reports
  • of Craft Beverage Modernization Act (CBMA) assignments, allocations, & timely filings
  • positive relationships with other employees of the company in Marketing, Administration, Sales, Finance and other departments as needed


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in related field i.e. business administration and 3+ years of related experience or equivalent
  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving skills
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently & accurately to meet tight timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Must possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Ability to plan and organize workload and work within tight deadlines
  • Develop & maintain productive working relationships across all departments, suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Process oriented
  • Ability to process data from a wide range of sources


Compensation:

Base salary range: $70,000/yr. - $85,000/yr. exact compensation may vary based on skills, experiences, and location.


Physical Requirements:

Requires the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, working with computers and other office equipment
