Building Roots in Jewish Early Childhood
Early childhood centers (ECC) provide the foundation for the youngest members of our community, and our schools are in need of Jewish educators in their classrooms.
Shorashim Subs is seeking classroom support from exceptional people who are open to learning about early childhood. There is no experience required. We will provide the training to become a Jewish early childhood substitute teacher.
Come play, learn, connect and be a part of the wonderful local early childhood Jewish landscape
Responsibilities:
- Complete online pre-service training provided by Shorashim Subs.
- Connect with, care for, and support the learning of young children in a Jewish classroom.
- Follow guidance from a trusted head-teacher.
- Support young children through activities, transitions and day-to-day classroom life.
- Bring your passions and positivity to an early childhood environment.
- Be an advocate for the early childhood center in your community.
- Ensure school policies are met and maintained in the classroom.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn about, or previous knowledge of, child development.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
- Must pass background check and be fingerprinted through DFPS
- $20/Hour for your time in the classroom
- Connect with like-minded individuals who are supporting the community like you
- Dedicated Community Coordinator to help you find the community and classroom that’s the best fit for your skills and interests.
- Required training that allows you the opportunity to move into a full-time position if offered.
