As a Diesel Service Technician at Mercedes Benz of Salem, responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines in vehicles. Additionally, performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all repairs are performed according to company standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues with diesel engines
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on diesel engines, including replacing parts and components
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient and effective repair processes
  • Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Diesel Service Technician
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • ASE Certification or related degree in automotive repair is preferred
