Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPay Rate- $50,000POSITION PURPOSE:The Outlet Manager is responsible for the direction and daily operation of the Outlet Store to ensure achievement of budgeted goals. The Outlet Manager is responsible for revenue generation for the Goodwill Recycling Center Outlet Store. This position is responsible for the implementation of business strategies and ensuring business profitability. The position is responsible for meeting and exceeding established retail metrics as it relates to revenue, wage to revenue ratios, transactions and transaction value. The position is responsible for the maximum security and protection of company assets. The Outlet Manager is a member of the Quality Team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
  1. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum security and protection of all customers and company assets.
  2. Responsible for meeting and exceeding all external safety compliance regulations with zero OSHA recordable incidents.
  3. Responsible for meeting or exceeding all retail metrics goals as it relates to revenue, wage to revenue ratios, production and transaction / transaction values.
  4. Achieve 97% or more of monthly sales goals.
  5. Proactively interview and maintain staffing levels no less than 80% of established goals.
  6. Oversee all POS functions and transactions including sales, refunds, audits, voids, correct pricing, inventory control, and responding to customers. Also responsible for register cash fund including deposits, store change fund, counts petty cash, and accounting for overages and shortages. Ensure necessary record keeping, daily reports, and reporting of money, sales, donations, labor hours and production.
  7. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with all consumers, community groups, co-workers, and subordinates to promote the achievement of the company mission. Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information concerning consumers and/or employees.
  8. Complete and provide action plans and hands-on training based on the development of goals and objectives for managers to ensure their continued growth.
  9. Effectively use technology to communicate and perform job functions.
  10. Ensure maximum security and protection of company assets.
  11. Train staff in Loss Prevention techniques and the appropriate use and understanding of the Crisis Communication Plan. Ensure all alarm calls are responded to in a timely manner. Ensure all new hire job specific training and orientation is completed within first two weeks of employment.
  12. Ability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week as well as varied hours and days as the business dictates.
  13. Completion of special projects and location event attendance as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in industry, business, operations/logistics or sales related and/or 3-5 plus years in industry related experience. Must have extensive experience and the ability to effectively execute supervisory tasks in retail sales and/or operations management. Must have a valid drivers license. Ability to be a self starter with excellent oral and written communication skills along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications required. Must be able to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.SKILLS/ABILITIES:Must be a self-starter that will lead the store(s) in providing top quality internal and external service. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse, rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all level of staff and management.
