Compensation:

$13 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Handling the day-to-day maintenance duties of the property
  • Completing all work orders and service requests in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Following up with department heads on the status of work orders
  • Completing and maintaining records for the property Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Assisting in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors. Completing grounds works as directed by the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager which may include but is not limited to picking up trash, sweeping curbs, dumpster areas, maintaining landscaping beds, and other areas
  • Repairing or replacing property brick, stone, and concrete
  • Maintaining and repairing wood parts of the property
  • Replacing worn and damaged parts such as casings, handles, knobs, latches, hoses, wiring, belts, etc.
  • Painting interior and exterior walls and trim
  • Cleaning and repairing air conditioning systems
  • Shampooing carpets and upholstery, as directed
  • Using a steamer to clean all tile and hard surfaces
  • Moving and arranging furniture
  • Assuring safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal Guidelines
  • Special projects assigned by the Chief Engineer and /or General Manager
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs
  • Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made
  • Take additional maintenance requests as assigned
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
  • Check the building for any damage to doors, windows, walls, and make any repairs as needed


Qualifications:
  • Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience
  • Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Must have graduated from high school/received GED or equivalent
  • Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
