Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a highly motivated IT Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our employees across all locations by resolving their desktop IT-related issues and ensuring their systems are running smoothly. This is a full-time position based out of our office located in Morgantown, WV with some travel to office locations in the tri-state area.    

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of IT problems, primarily desktop related, reported by end-users, including hardware, software, network, and application issues.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new employee workstations and accounts.
  • Provide clear and concise technical support via phone, virtual, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other IT team members on large-scale projects, such as system migrations or upgrades.
  • Document all support interactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Refer complex issues to the IT team when necessary. Research and stay up to date on new technologies and industry best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for specialized support and repairs.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment for conference rooms, ensuring smooth and effective meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all company IT security policies and procedures.
Your Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; work experience may be substituted.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems, such as TeamViewer, Remote Desktop, or FreshDesk.
  • Experience with Active Directory for managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Basic understanding of databases (e.g., SQL), servers (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), and networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, DHCP, DNS).
  • A strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • May require extended hours during critical project phases.
  • Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.    
  • See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.  
  • Ability to travel as needed to various office locations. Travel expectation around 5%.
