We are a fast growing printing company looking for an onsite Prepress Specialist to join our team. The Prepress Specialist will be the direct link between our design and our production departments. Our ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who is knowledgeable in color management, digital production printing, pre-press functions, design and data merging.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, a creative thinker, problem solver, thorough, organized, and also be able to work collaboratively in a team environment; by keeping others informed and organizing information to help us make the best possible decisions.

Responsibilities will include preparing, proofing, and organizing final client files with digital printing standards to ensure successful completion within set deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for accuracy of final client files submitted to the print department
  • Proof final client files and ensure order specifications and high-quality print standards are met prior to production
  • Use the latest printing and prepress color correcting techniques and software to submit final client files through print workflow
  • Troubleshoot a wide variety of prepress and printing issues and actively communicate with the team to resolve issues before they arise
  • Manage and monitor image queues and approve or reject based on clients’ quality and accuracy standards
  • Interact with all other departments as needed via face to face communication, phone, email, or department meetings
  • Maintain the highest quality standards and establish print workflow procedures

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to thrive is a small business environment and work with both the design and production departments to come up with creative solutions
  • Ability to learn quickly and adopt new technologies in a quick turnaround environment
  • Ability to communicate openly and clearly with teammates
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Good understanding of full-color digital printing
  • Experience with EFI Fiery, XMPie, and Enfocus Pitstop Pro a plus
  • Onsite position
