Position Overview:
Xometry is looking for an experienced CNC machinist and assembly manufacturing professional with a strong eye for details, and mechanical aptitude who will operate and program CNC machinery in order to accurately and efficiently manufacture high quality parts. Duties and responsibilities
As a Manufacturing and Assembly Lead, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Reading specifications on blueprints and mechanical drawings and ensuring they are met.
- Setup, program, and operate CNC Mill and Lathe for prototype/production part runs
- Be able to run tests on machines to check machine outputs according to specifications, and adjust as necessary.
- Design fixtures and manufacture them as needed
- Examine and maintain machinery regularly to ensure functionality.
- Supervise machines during execution and make any necessary adjustments to manufacture a better result.
- Inspect completed parts and compare them to the specifications and requirements of the blueprint, to determine if the process was properly completed.
- Performs all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and procedures.
- Assess rework and determine corrective action
- Review and accept assembly work off the job board
- Order COTS materials
- Assemble components as required
- Lead assembly technicians and assign work
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as CNC machinist with at least 10 years of experience.
- Skill in operating and programming CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Toolmaker/Tool and Die training or apprenticeship.
- Computer savvy with expert understanding of CNC programming and CAD/CAM.
- Mechanical aptitude and proficient math skills
- Minimum 4 years programming experience
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Haas Mill and Lathe experience is a plus
- Solidworks experience is a plus
- MasterCam or NX experience required
