The Fine Gardener is responsible for the care and cultivation of the lush grounds that embrace homes and businesses. This includes pruning with precision, crafting stunning containers and pots, immersing yourself in the art of planting, indulging in the joy of gardening, and conquering the weeding game-- all while working hand-in-hand with our Fine Gardening Manager.

Responsibilities


  • Manage special projects including but not limited to, clean ups, perennial garden maintenance, fertilization, mulching, planting, pruning, watering, and container plantings
  • Operate with a high level of detail and horticultural expertise
  • Conduct routine garden maintenance, including weeding, mulching, and fertilizing
  • Perform precise planting, pruning, and transplanting
  • Seasonal container planting and maintenance
  • Consistent, complete, and concise reporting upon completion of special projects
  • Exterior and interior holiday dcor installation
  • Daily debris pickups

Requirements


  • Love of the outdoors, trees, plants, and garden spaces
  • Desire to learn about plants, horticulture, and best garden practices.
  • Professional and excellent communication skills
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift 40 pounds and work outdoors all day in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to write clear and detailed daily fieldwork logs.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • An eye for interior holiday dcor installation
  • Current and active drivers license and reliable personal transportation

Essential Job Functions:
This job requires the following essential job functions:

The Fine Gardener is classified as being from medium to heavy work based on the lifting requirements. This job requires frequently lifting either 20 30 pounds or even 40 60 pounds of objects. Occasionally, in any of the job assignments, pushing and pulling up to 50 100 pounds is necessary.

This job requires frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, and feeling. The ability to walk distances and maintain stamina and stability is constantly required. The ability to have hand/eye and hand/foot coordination is constantly required. Fine Gardeners are involved in climbing and balancing in their work. They are required to at times work from ladders and must work in fluctuating temperatures and adverse weather conditions (e.g. 90-degree heat, high wind, rain). Up to 95% of the Team Members' time is spent in outdoor work.

All Landscape/ Fine Gardening Team Members are exposed to the expected hazards and atmospheric conditions of an industrial environment (i.e., fumes, odors, mists, gases, toxic chemicals, electrical and mechanical instrumentation equipment, and high noise levels) may be encountered.
