Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and registered Ultrasonographer to join our team . In this role, you will provide high-quality ultrasound services efficiently to patients across all settings served by the Imaging Services Department. As an Ultrasonographer, you will perform a variety of tasks as outlined in the department's Policy and Procedure Manual and assist with assigned administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of procedural details.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Perform ultrasound exams and process images for diagnostic review.
- Communicate and transmit reports to physicians accurately and promptly.
- Compile and organize data for radiologists, maintaining comprehensive records.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing films, stocking supplies, preparing, and cleaning exam rooms.
- May assist with scheduling patients for procedures and transporting them as needed.
- Maintain clinical competencies through participation in hospital and departmental educational and orientation programs.
Qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in at least one advanced certification, with a preference for two.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 7 days of hire.
