Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Days)
Location: Glens Falls, NY
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week (24-hour/week guarantee)
Shift Requirements: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
Summary:
This position is for an experienced Med Surg RN who will be working during an EPIC conversion. EPIC experience is non-negotiable, and candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of current Med Surg experience. The RN must be willing to float to other Med Surg units as needed. Peritoneal Dialysis training is preferred. Block scheduling will not be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a Med Surg unit during the EPIC conversion.
- Float to other Med Surg units as required.
- Utilize EPIC system for patient documentation and care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all medical and vaccination requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of Med Surg protocols and procedures.
- Provide care in accordance with hospital policies and best practices.
- Work every other weekend and during holidays as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of current Med Surg experience.
- EPIC Experience: Required (non-negotiable).
- Peritoneal Dialysis Training: Preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current New York State RN license, BLS (AHA) certification.
- Vehicle: Must have a personal vehicle (firm requirement).
- Compliance: Must meet all medical and vaccination requirements before the start date.
- Documentation: Complete work history, relevant skills checklist (updated within the last year), and one supervisory reference (signed within the last two years) required. Licenses and certifications must be uploaded with the profile.
Additional Information:
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours scheduled, with a 24-hour/week guarantee.
- Shift Flexibility: Must work every other weekend and holidays as required.
