We are looking for physically fit candidates with good attention to detail for the position of diesel mechanic.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities

  • Running diagnostic tests on commercial vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Installing PTOs, PTO Compressors, and Rear Fenders
  • Changing and upgrading valves and piping on hazmat tanker trailers.
  • Installing Electronic Logging systems with cameras into commercial vehicles.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test drive commercial vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
Requirements:

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • 2 Years proven mechanic work.
  • Aptitude for mathematics and science.
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
  • Good IT and diagnostic skills.
  • Able to physically handle the requirements of this position.
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Class A CDL – not required but a plus.
  • State/Federal Inspection License – not required but a plus.
  • Tanker Trailer Knowledge – not required but a plus.
