POSITION SUMMARY


As a member of the Technical Team, you will be supporting and troubleshooting network and server challenges across our client base. You will communicate and solve technical challenges that utilize networks, servers, virtual machines, LANS, and WANS. You will be joining an excellent IT team that prides itself on a high degree of quality and accuracy. In this role, you will be responsible for:


  • Maintaining health of critical infrastructures through in-depth network analysis and troubleshooting
  • Managing Active Directory accounts, permissions, and upgrades
  • Setting up, maintaining, and monitoring Switches, Access Points, Core Routers, ISP's, Datacenter Hardware, etc.
  • Performing risk assessments, and testing network systems and procedures
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for various systems and services
  • Completing projects with zero error (i.e., ensuring that hardware, software, upgrades, installations, relocations, or changes are running and stable)
  • Working and clearing ticket requests via ticket queue 
  • Setting up Backup Disaster and Recovery Solutions
  • Communicating promptly and professionally with clients and team members
  • Learning and researching new technologies, solutions, or procedures
  • Responding to issues or alerts as needed
  • Demonstrating IT TechPros' core values of leadership, accountability, transparency, and integrity

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 


  • MCSA or MCSE
  • CCNA
  • Certification in Cloud Technologies i.e. Azure, Office 365
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, VLAN and routing
  • Strong understanding of industry standards
  • Can complete routine tasks independently and with little supervision
  • Regular shift rotation and ability to work after-hours or on weekends as needed
  • Is able to be on-call 24/7 
  • All other related duties as assigned.

     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in troubleshooting or managing networks, data centers, Server OS, and other applications is required


WORK SCHEDULE

  • Full time, 8 AM - 5 PM, with after hours rotation on call for Emergencies
  • Travel > 50% throughout San Diego County
