Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver building materials to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Review orders before delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing outstanding service and assistance as needed.
- Assist in unloading materials at job sites while maintaining efficient delivery schedules.
- Maintain delivery vehicle in a clean and organized condition, reporting any vehicle issues promptly.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate delivery logistics.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery slips, vehicle inspections, and mileage logs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and refueling.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in delivery driving or a related field is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy building materials and use equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
