Job Description:
-FAR GROUP is looking for a qualified Athletic Trainer, to provide physical therapy services on-site at The 148th Fighter Wing, Duluth, MN.

Special Qualifications:
The following qualifications shall be met by the minimum personnel required to meet the requirements of the service outlined in this job description.
• Must be a current Licensed Athletic Trainer, with a current Athletic Trainer (AT) Certification from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
• Must hold a degree from a NATA-accredited institution, specifically for "Athletic Trainer."
• The Athletic Trainer must have experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletics.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience is desired.
• Current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) including Automated external defibrillator (AED) training is desired.
Working Hours:
The contractor shall provide services between the flying hours of 0700-1600 or 1300-2000
on Monday through Friday, except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings,
or similar Government-directed facility/installation closings.
Tasks and duties:
• Provide athletic training services to military personnel, including injury prevention, evaluation,
treatment, and rehabilitation.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of athletes' physical conditions, including musculature,
cardiovascular, and neurological systems.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on assessment findings and specific performance goals.
• Administer immediate care and first aid in the event of athletic injuries, including managing acute trauma, providing emergency medical care, and coordinating further medical intervention.
• Design and implement sports-specific conditioning and strength training programs to enhance athletic performance and minimize the risk of injuries.
• Educate athletes, coaches, and military personnel on proper training techniques, injury prevention strategies, and sports nutrition.
• Collaborate with coaches, physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
• Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of athletic training, and integrate this knowledge into practice.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and protocols related to sports medicine and athletic training within the US Army facility.
