Reports To: Traditional Camp Assistant Manager, Camps and Programs Manager

General Role:

To lead campers through their daily routine participating in all activities. This person will represent the camp with a professional manner that promote an energetic, fun, team-like atmosphere.

Specific duties:

• Teach lessons and give instruction;

• Ensure the safety of all campers, staff, etc.;

• Supervise campers assigned to the group at all times;

• Plan, assist, and support special activities;

• May instruct on animal care, grooming, tacking, and untacking;

• Coordinate and support the efforts of counselors assigned to the group;

• Designate which counselors have direct responsibility for which campers on a daily basis;

• Communicate information and needs to managers and director;

• Responsible for written documentation such as Incident or Accident reports and appropriate follow through;

• Attend all staff training and meetings;

• Deal with behavioral issues following the PADONIA Summer Camps guidelines;

• Take camper headcounts upon arrival and departure of all activities;

• Assist campers with the application of sunscreen throughout the camp day;

• Keep inventory of equipment and supplies;

• Requesting/preparing supplies list for camp activities in a timely manner;

• Clean up area following the completion of all activities;

• Follow all safety and health guidelines as outlined by the company; and,

• All other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• 18+ years old;

• High School graduate or higher;
