Yard Worker

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Yard Worker for our Lehigh Acres, FL location for working evenings/nights.

Candidate must work 6 - 8 weeks on days before converting to nights to learn the requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid and active driver's license, with a preference for a CDL, as they may be required to make supply runs and deliveries to other branches in Florida.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Assist with equipment and material check-outs.
  • Ability to lift and move products and pallets weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat/cold) year-round.
  • Proficiency in using basic tools.
  • Mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Able to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly without assistance.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.
  • Forklift certification a plus.

Main Duties:

  • Load, unload trucks & equipment manually and with a forklift.
  • Maintain the yard
  • Check equipment in or out as needed.
  • Verify that equipment is in good mechanical and safe operating condition upon being taken out or returned.
  • Assist drivers with loading/unloading as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering.
  • Make supply runs and deliveries to other branches in Florida.
