Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGeodesicx, Inc. is in search of a Logistician III to join our team in the Charleston, SC area.

The Logistician III is responsible for providing defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, including logistics management principles, practices, and processes. This role supports various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Command and Control (C2) systems across multiple platforms supporting Department of Defense end users.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide MILSPEC Packaging, Handling, Shipping, and Transportation (PHS&T) for all material in accordance with NAVSUP P723, OPNAVINST 4030.1A, and System Specific Addendums. Ensure hazardous material packaging is in accordance with US Navy and DOD Hazardous Material Handling Instructions and Guidance.
  • Conduct warehouse operations support, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, tagging and labeling, Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV), Electronic Retrograde Management System (eRMS), and CMPRO database maintenance.
  • Perform inventory demand management analysis to determine minimum and maximum levels of Ready for Issue (RFI) spares.
  • Provide commercial material transportation support and local material delivery to government and military locations.
  • Transmit Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Document Identifier Code (DIC) transactions for requisitions that cannot be filled within specified timeframes.
  • Manage NAVSUP inventory in accordance with NAVSUP P-723, Inventory Integrity Standards, and NAVSUP Internal Control Aids (ICA)/Lines of Effort (LOE) procedures.
  • Conduct Not Ready for Issue (NRFI) Screening/Testing to verify failure occurrence and process assets for repair or warranty replacement as necessary.
  • Verify requisitions using Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and CDMDOA, as well as other configuration information, to ensure properly configured material is provided.

Experience Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, including logistics management principles, practices, and processes.
  • At least four (4) years of support with C4ISR or similar systems, including analyzing engineering/systems management data, developing logistics plans and procedures, and developing logistics management plans and guidelines.
