Reporting to the Loan Servicing Manager, this position is responsible for the servicing of all loans.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Processes the loan sales to Freddie Mac within delivery timeline. Completes daily and monthly Freddie Mac duties as required. Process Freddie Mac Quality Control files as requested.
- Works with State National to ensure proper coverage of insurance on loans. Complete State National insurance reports. Handle the tracking and enforcement of Collateral Protection Insurance with State National and other miscellaneous reports.
- Responsible for loan files once they have been closed. Ensures satisfactions and other miscellaneous documentation is received to clear the title and orders the final title policy. Services the loan file to include construction draws and statements, insurance claims, variable rate changes and paid loan files.
- Pays taxes and insurance for escrow accounts. Analyzes escrow accounts and sends out information to members.
- Processes paid loans and lien perfections.
- Handles loan corrections and adjustments.
- Upkeep on maintenance files.
- Exhibits a positive attitude toward Credit Union initiatives and mission statement, supporting member acquisition and retention.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Cross-sells other Credit Union services.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to use office technology such as a computer, internet, email, and other office related software
- Ability to work in an office environment for at least 8 hours per day
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Performance Measurements
- To package, deliver and sell loans which are designated secondary market; complete reports by deadlines and maintain a tier one rating.
- To follow procedures to ensure all required insurance is kept in force and paid and all taxes are paid current.
- To possess a thorough knowledge of the department in order to competently respond to member’s inquiries.
- To call applicants or other persons to resolve discrepancies, in a timely manner, of any problems.
- To be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to switch from one task to another and still meet production requirements.
- To maintain a professional., courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience one to three years of similar or related experience
Education a high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills Must have good communication skills; 10-key calculator and keyboard skills required. Ability to operate a variety of computer programs.
