- Job Type: Hybrid, combining remote and on-site work
- Responsibilities:
- Implement innovative solutions integrating data and platform technologies
- Design application solutions integrating data/geodatabases, platforms, and technologies
- Create proof-of-concepts to validate design concepts/solutions
- Participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) Sessions
- Work with external contractors/consultants to migrate their solutions into GDOT IT environments
- Integrate application solutions with existing enterprise systems, databases/data warehouse, system jobs, and applications
- Ensure interoperability between platforms and other IT systems
- Provide work estimates/validation of estimates for development tasks
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for Integrated solutions
- Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to understand requirements, domain, viable technologies, and anticipated development requirements
- Build long-term strategic roadmap for enterprise application systems' architecture
- Develop and maintain standards, ensure compliance with GDOT IT guidelines
- Develop and implement plans for system solution migration through multiple environments
- Stay abreast of new technology opportunities
- Architect and design scalable secure and high performing enterprise level .Net based application
- Mentor and provide design guidance to team lead, senior, and junior developers
- Analyze and recommend performance and security best practices, database designs, and general development conventions and standards
- Design solutions involving Esri ArcGIS Geographic Information System (GIS) products
- Work Terms and Conditions:
- 8AM- 5PM, 40 hrs./week
- Local candidates preferred
- Follow all applicable State of Georgia and GDOT policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Contract may be extended in one-year increments but GDOT is under no obligation to do so
- Consultant must have suitable internet connection for teleworking
- GDOT will reimburse authorized travel expense but not relocation expenses
- Consultants are not allowed to work on holidays and are not to take extended leave during their first year of service
- Consultant must have a cell phone for business calls
- All routine commuting expenses are the responsibility of the consultant.
