Position: F&B Supervisor (includes Food and Beverage, and Pool area)- Full-Time and Part Time

Description: Lead by example and supervise the F&B Dept., that encompasses breakfast, food and beverage, room service, pool service, special amenities, mini-bars, catering /meetings and events. Deliver stellar guest service, coordinate with other hotel departments, and assist Manager with operation of the dept. (i.e. ordering, inventory, procedures, training, etc.)

Areas of responsibility include:

- Oversee staff and operations, ensure consistency and quality of product and service.-Demonstrates leadership, initiative, pro-activity. Looks for ways to improve operations.

- Guest Service - anticipates and responds promptly to guest needs, and ensures their complete satisfaction. Handles guest issues expertly.

- Communicate and coordinate within the team, and other departments of the hotel.

- Support the entire hotel and organization, goals and values.

- Reliability- excellent attendance, punctuality, and efficiency, with strong attention to detail

- Safety and Security - follows and helps ensure safety procedures are used.

Requirements:

- Genuine desire to take excellent care of our guests, and ensure they have a fabulous stay

- Outgoing personality and positive attitude

- Excellent communication skills

- High level of integrity and humility

- Exceptional team player, who can also work independently. Self-motivated.

- Hotel and/or restaurant/ food and beverage experience required

- Supervisory experience preferred

- Education - High School Degree; additional education a plus

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, work all shifts, weekends and holidays

- Must have or complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) alcohol awareness certification as scheduled upon employment. Must have Food Safety Handler Certification or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

Licenses/Certifications: CA Driver's License Required plus Current DMV Printout, CA Food Handler’s and Bev server certificates

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds. The employee may be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise is usually moderate to loud.
