Burn Table Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled Burn Table Operator to join our team at our facility located in Ocala, FL, 34474. As a Burn Table Operator, you will cut material according to an engineering blueprint using plasma burn table equipment. In addition to preparing orders according to build specifications, a Burn Table Operator is also responsible for the proper set-up, communication with proceeding shifts and monitoring burn table equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints on job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Loads equipment with product using the overhead crane in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
• Prepares equipment to cut material by selecting appropriate program on the computer according to engineering specifications.
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Removes all materials from the burn table after cutting and handles it according to router instructions.
• Performs preventive maintenance as needed including (but not limited to) wiping down torches and equipment.
• Completes assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices with regards to individual safety, the safety of other employees, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.
• Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.

• Knowledge of CNC waterjet and CNC plasma cutter machines

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Math, measuring, and mechanical skills are essential.

• Ability to use common precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers)

• Must be capable of operating manual machining equipment, cranes, and forklifts.

***EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Machine operation experience in manufacturing setting.
• Training/experience on Burn Table or other Oxy or Plasma cutting machines is beneficial.

Salary info:
