Subsitute Teacher

Position Overview:

The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) has a need for Substitute Teachers for both regular education and special education for the 2023-2024 school year in Erie, Warren and Crawford Counties. The daily rate is based on individual district substitute rates (ranging from approximately $90- $210 a day). Training and job shadowing within the classroom is provided for all emergency substitutes.

IU5 Early Intervention and Special Education School-Aged Classrooms

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in any field

Successful applicants will be required to submit acceptable PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance and Federal History Clearance as well as complete forms Act 168 for current employer and any previous employer where the applicant worked directly with children. Additionally, a physical and negative TB test will be required within 3 months of receipt of the test results by the IU.
