PV Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Residential Solar Designer to join our team in the solar industry. As

a Residential Solar Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing solar energy systems

for residential properties. Your innovative designs and expertise will contribute to our mission of providing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer residential solar energy systems, including rooftop solar PV arrays, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create detailed and accurate solar system layouts, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings for residential projects.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate solar potential, shading analysis, roof condition, and electrical considerations, and provide recommendations for optimal system design.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to gather project requirements and design customized solar solutions that meet clients' needs and preferences.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in residential solar technology, industry trends, and local regulations, and apply this knowledge to enhance the design and implementation of solar systems.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and installation processes.

Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications or training in solar energy systems design are a plus.
• Proficiency in working with computers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize solar system designs for maximum energy generation and cost efficiency.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in design deliverables.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.
• Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to promoting sustainable practices in the residential sector.
