Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a valued member of our team, the IT Generalist II at our ready-mix concrete company, you will oversee information systems planning, implementation, and administration across various IT functional areas in both plant and office settings. Collaborating with end-users, you will diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks, ensuring efficient IT operations. You will analyze business needs and contribute to selecting and configuring IT hardware and software to support internal business processes. Your responsibilities include maintaining detailed documentation of IT systems methodologies, processes, and specifications, as well as assisting with the planning and scheduling of IT initiatives. You will install and configure network infrastructure, monitor network performance, and implement basic security measures to protect systems, networks, and data. Additionally, the role requires occasional physical activities such as climbing ladders and lifts while working at plants and other company locations.Pay: $39.00-$45.00 per hour based on experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks for end-users.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand business needs and develop IT solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT methodologies, processes, and system configurations.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems, software, and IT best practices.
- Develop and update training materials and user guides.
- Implement basic security measures to protect IT systems, networks, and data.
- Ensure that backup strategies and recovery plans are up to date and effective.

- Utilize hand and power tools to repair/assemble equipment.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as climbing ladders and lifts.
- Manage inventory and procurement of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifts to access and service IT equipment at plants and other company locations.
- Ensure IT equipment is properly installed and maintained in various environments.
- Analyze business processes and provide recommendations for IT solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and implement technology improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Requires a valid Class C drivers license. This position is required to travel to other local plants and locations up to 40% of time and travel overnight up to 15% of the time.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in IT support, system administration or network management.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly in the ready-mix concrete industry.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
- Experience in conducting end-user training and developing training materials.
- Proven ability to manage IT projects and initiatives effectively.
- Experience with electrical principles, circuits, components, and safety.
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Crystal Reports.
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems.
- Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, and Firewalls.

Must be able to climb concrete plants to perform IT related tasks such as installing and/or adjusting Security Cameras, install or troubleshoot Wireless Access Points, or simply run wires.
