Transportation Structures Division Manager

Civil Science is looking to hire Transportation Structures Division Manager who will oversee a team of Structural engineers focusing on the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and inspection of transportation-related structures, including bridges, tunnels, highways, and related infrastructure. This position will require a Professional Engineer with a structural background for our growing transportation design group in Utah, Idaho, and North Dakota. You will be an integral member of our transportation engineering team by implementing your technical expertise and leading the efforts of junior engineers, EITs, and technicians to execute the structural elements of various design projects. This role involves strategy, business development, team development, oversight/ QA/QC, and partner leadership to grow the discipline and business.
Type of Structural Work
- Bridges (precast/prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel)
- Retaining Walls (MSE, cast-in-place concrete, and soil nail
- Box Culverts
- Miscellaneous Drainage Structures
Requirements
- Must currently hold Professional Engineer License and have the ability to gain licensing in Utah, North Dakota, and Idaho through reciprocity within six months of start date
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
- Minimum 10+ years of working experience
- Proven ability to lead, manage staff, think critically and cultivate new business opportunities
- Working knowledge of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- Familiarity with the AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design
- Experience with UDOT, ITD, NDDOT, and local municipal agencies

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review.
