We are seeking a Training Specialist who has a passion for continuous improvement of training, high energy and a positive approach to learning and development. They will work with the following departments: Human Resources, Organization Development, Quality, Production, and IT and collaborate with Blum Austria to maintain our LMS Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops training programs, courses, or other instructional materials for on-the-job training, skill development, departmental onboarding and compliance material.
  • Support Department Managers and collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and thorough.
  • Create and developing job specific training to help employees maintain or improve job skills.
  • Administration and maintenance of LMS system, creating eLearning, courses and content
  • Conduct training analysis throughout the organization to determine training needs through interviews with employees, focus groups, consultations with managers, or other feedback channels
  • Provide feedback on existing training and identify creative solutions for additional training opportunities and improvements
  • Coordinate training activities among multiple departments
  • Support managers and trainers to design, plan, organize and direct onboarding and training programs for employees
  • Evaluate learning styles to assist managers with most effective training approach and techniques
  • Work with and support departments to organize and develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
  • Ensure compliance of departmental and safety/compliance trainings through reporting using LMS system and follow-up with department managers on missed training
  • Create training, checklists and onboarding certifications to ensure consistent training throughout the organization
  • Guide and mentor OJT trainers in production and logistics using a structured training approach
  • Determine effective training delivery systems (internal vs. external training) hands on or eLearning content
  • Coordinate training with external partners
  • May assist with conducting safety or departmental trainings
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Ability to work off-shift hours at times to support training on a 3 shift operation

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Communications, Human Resources, Organizational Development preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience training in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Equivalent training and experience can be substituted
  • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline helpful
  • Preferred knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design
  • Prefer understanding of teaching and instruction of individuals and groups
  • Measuring the effectiveness of training
  • Knowledge of business principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Collaborative team player that enjoys being and working with others (individual or group settings)
  • Can work independently without constant supervision
  • Works well in an environment where consensus building drives most decisions
  • Flexible towards changing priorities and work assignments
  • Can handle complex or multidimensional problems effectively
