Animal Specialty Center is seeking Veterinary Technician Interns and Externs, from AVMA-accredited schools, to join our collaborative, diverse, and forward-thinking team. This role is best suited for Veterinary Technician students enrolled in AVMA-accredited schools who are hoping to complete their required clinical experience hours. Animal Specialty Center has cultivated a team of knowledge and experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Technician Specialists, and board-certified specialists. 



Veterinary Technician Interns and Externs should expect:

 

  • Collaboration. We pride ourselves on an open, safe, and diverse environment where our teammates can learn from each other. Our Education Department offers the mentorship and guidance our newer teammates will need to help build their skills and career.
  • Support of evidence-based medicine practice within different specialties including Anesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, and Radiation Oncology.
  • Externs and Interns will garner experience in medical nursing, patient triage, critical care, and rotate through the specialized departments engaging with veterinary clinical professionals and their support team.
  • This clinical experience will support the student's curriculum and their desired learning objectives.
  • RACE approved CE offered monthly onsite and virtually.
