Job Description

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Laborer is responsible for assisting in the preparation of vehicles for salvage, using mobile crushing equipment. 

  • Sorting different types of metal based on their characteristics
  • Use torch to cut metal
  • Work with different types of machinery (forklift)
  • Shovel 
  • Keep worksite clean
  • Help load and unload vehicles
  • Offer excellent customer service 
  • Contribute to any other tasks related to the operations of the site
Qualifications

 

  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment inside/outside of the shop 
  • Knowledge of metals (an asset)
  • Work experience with forklift and/or valid license to operate a forklift (an asset)
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment
  • Comfortable using a computer and Microsoft Office is an assest
