What you will do:


As the Material Handler, you will be responsible for coordinating the storage, transfer, and movement of components and spare parts in the warehouse. Manage space and inventory movement, as well as the efficiency of warehouse operations. Move product to and from production when required.

  • Material Stocking & Staging Support – Stock materials in designated locations quickly and accurately internal transfer orders (ITO’s) and/or aftersales pick sheets, select, pull, and stage materials required by customers and technicians for job/order completion.
  • Forklift Operation – Uses the forklift, pallet jacks and other materials handling equipment competently and safely.
  • Cycle Counting – Help prepare count sheets and organize paperwork in connection with annual physical inventory count and ongoing cycle counts.
  • Maintain Inventory Records – Monitor and record inventory transfers and adjustments; investigate and resolve quantity discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Basic Computer Knowledge – Ability to navigate UPS/FED Ex software as well as TMS programs and internet sites, strong data entry skills, and basic knowledge of MD Office programs.
  • Warehouse Coordination – Coordinate activity with other warehouses. Provide input and suggestions for continual improvement in the areas of shipping and receiving, maximization of warehouse space, and inventory efficiency.
  • Visual Component Knowledge – Has the ability to identify component parts and their applications.
  • Planning – Tracks and expedites materials and the delivery to shipping.
  • Receiving Support - Assist and support receiving as needed with unpacking and putting away goods.


Requirements:


Education: High School Diploma (GED) Preferred.


Experience: Over 5 years related warehouse, shipping and receiving experience; Experience with

Inventory/Cycle Counts.


Certifications: Forklift Certification Required.


Computer Skills: Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Abilities.
